Volunteers play a vital role at Memo Arts Centre. They help to deliver fabulous projects and services, both in the venue and out in the community. The Memo is on the lookout for enthusiastic and dependable volunteers of all ages (18+). There are lots of reasons to want to join. You might want to support more cultural events in Barry. Perhaps you want to share or develop work skills, or just want to give back and meet new people.
The Memo’s popular Starlings sessions for toddlers and their grown-ups is growing to two weekly sessions so there is a need for more volunteers to help with making coffees, cleaning toys and joining in.
Due to the recent relaunch of live events, there are also vacancies for Meet & Greeters, and Box Office volunteers. If you are computer confident with a friendly phone manner, the Memo can train you on the ticketing system.
The venue will train and support you all the way to develop your skills and confidence in an accessible, friendly and welcoming environment.
Front of House Volunteer at the Memo, Liz Sullivan, has valued the experience: “Volunteering at the Memo is a great opportunity to meet a variety of people. It has given me a chance to do something worthwhile with my spare time.”
