We like to be accessible and welcoming to everyone and are committed to making your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible. Advance booking is recommended so that our staff can readily provide assistance when needed.
The Memo Arts Centre has a range of services to assist all customers under our Equal Access Policy. If you have any special requirements please mention it to the Box Office staff when booking tickets or email boxoffice@memoartscentre.co.uk. Alternatively contact the Duty Manager, or Front of House staff on arrival and they’ll be happy to help.
Hynt
We are a member of Hynt, a national access scheme that works with theatres and arts centres across Wales to make sure there is a consistent offer available for visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement. Hynt cardholders are entitled to a ticket free of charge for a personal assistant or carer. To check whether you, or the person you care for, are eligible visit the Hynt and apply online. Alternatively, call into the Box Office for an application form.
Wheelchair Users
Dedicated disabled parking spaces are available with easy access to the venue. There are wide door street level entrances, and a unisex accessible toilet on ground level. Wheelchair spaces are located in specific areas in the Auditorium and Balcony, these are limited in number. Queries and bookings must be made directly with the Box Office so we can ensure your specific needs and requirements are met.
Blind / Visual Impairments
Working / Guide dogs are welcomed and large print (20 Point) versions of the forthcoming attractions brochures are available on request. ‘Touch / Familiarisation’ tours can be arranged on request.
Deaf / Hearing Impairments
The venue has an online booking service for all shows and hire enquiries, with email and postal booking service for special requirements.
Families
We are proud to be a family friendly arts centre, and we welcome children and families to our affordable events and film screenings. We have free parking with easy flat access to the venue and lifts. Prams can be left in our Buggy Park next to the Auditorium (please note that these are left at owner’s risk). Baby changing facilities are located in the accessible toilet on the Ground Floor. Highchairs and booster seats are available. Front of House staff will be happy to provide hot water for warming babies’ bottles. The cafe provides a range of drinks and snacks. We are happy for you to feed your baby in the cafe or any other appropriate space.
