Memo Mornings: Nocturnal

This concert is part of Memo Mornings, our relaxed live music series held on the first Thursday of the month at 11:00am. These informal one-hour concerts feature small ensembles of some of the best young classical musicians, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a joyful mid-morning musical escape in Barry.

This string quartet programme explores the moment when daylight fades and night takes over. The quiet hum of the streets, lengthening shadows, and thoughts that only surface after dark shape this immersive programme.

Curated by violinist Anna Tulchinskaya, the concert features a dynamic string quartet of professional musicians aged under 30, travelling deep into the nocturnal sound world of minimalist and contemporary music.

Philip Glass – String Quartet No. 3 “Mishima”
