Join us for weekly outdoor workshop sessions at the Memo, growing seeds, growing friendships and growing creatively.
Gardening sessions are FREE, although, as a Registered Charity we’d appreciate a donation if possible
Building from last year’s (2022) design proposals by our Memo Growers, this year Lara Ward and the Growers will install raised beds and wall planters in four areas around the Memo’s gardens, ready for us to make our first steps towards building a sustainable, nature friendly community garden.
Embracing nature, wildlife and the Memo’s own green spaces, we will work together to build and sustain an environmentally friendly garden.
Exploring sustainable methods of supporting the growing of fruit and vegetables, we will work together, populating raised beds around the garden with herbs and edible flowers, salads and bee pollinating flowers, seeding wildflower and poppy areas, as well as taking home seedlings and ideas for what you might begin to grow in your own space; be that a windowsill, a balcony, converting a patch of lawn into an edible garden bed, or developing your own community garden project.
Memo Growers is supported with funding from Arts Council of Wales: Create fund – Diolch!
