Youth Drama Classes
Spring 2023 : Approaches to Theatre is a practical exploration of Drama and the Performing Arts.
Drama Practitioner Megan Mattravers will be leading workshops on a variety of performance disciplines. This is suitable for ages 11-18, no previous knowledge or experience is required.

Sat 4 Mar: Physical Theatre Experience the work of Frantic Assembly and DV8 and create your own piece of physical theatre.
Sat 11 Mar: Approaches to Voice Develop your performance voice and how you can perform different characters.
Sat 18 Mar: Scripts Learn how to perform a script, exploring body language, facial expressions and voice.
Sat 25 Mar: Scripts Learn how to perform a script, exploring body language, facial expressions and voice.
Sat 1 Apr: Lighting and Sound Experience a tour of the Memo Theatre and learn about technical theatre.
Sat 22 Apr: Introduction to New Writing Explore the world of Playwriting and start to think about your own ideas.
Sat 29 Apr: Developing a Play Develop your own piece of New Writing.
Sat 13 May: Developing a Play Develop your own piece of New Writing.
Sat 20 May: Rehearsals Rehearse your pieces of New Writing, ready to share in our final week.
Sat 27 May: New Writing Showcase A celebration of the work we have created, showcasing New Writing.
