This tour celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Showaddywaddy. ‘The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World’ is a bold statement, but Showaddywaddy have lived up to that title for the last 5 decades!
Formed in Leicester in 1973 from an amalgamation of several local bands, Showaddywaddy have gone on to sell more than 20 million records and tour all four corners of the globe.

Their 50th Anniversary shows will be dynamic and uplifting, featuring all their greatest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts across Europe. ‘Under The Moon of Love’, ‘Three Steps to Heaven’, ‘Hey Rock & Roll’, ‘When’, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Pretty Little Angel Eyes’ and many, many more.

Equally at home on the classical stage or starring in musical theatre productions in London West End, his credits include lead roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.

Now, after 40 years in the business, he’s looking back on a remarkable career with a one-man show, that will feature never-before-heard music, tales from the decades and for the first time, his story told in his own words.

Clwb Ifor Bach presents Gruff Rhys + Bill Ryder-Jones - 29 Nov 2024

Gruff Rhys + Bill Ryder-Jones join forces for a special co-headline show.

Gruff Rhys, also the frontman of Super Furry Animals, released his new solo album Sadness Sets Me Free on 26th Jan this year. Incredibly, it’s the 25th album he has released in his 35 year as a musician, spanning his solo work as well as whilst working in other band or projects.

Bill Ryder-Jones is also a seasoned musician who joined The Coral in 1996, playing with them until 2008. He then began a solo career, as well as collaborating with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Graham Coxon, as well as producing music for other artists. His first new solo album in five years, Iechyd Da, was released on 12th January, and he’s touring the UK in March this year.
