ACW Creative Wales Award, Through Time

During the past 10 years, 200 artists have received Creative Wales Awards worth £3m from the Arts Council of Wales. In 2013 another £400,000 was being given to 22 people who work in everything from the visual arts to theatre to support new projects.

Helen Woods received a Creative Wales Award in 2013 from the Arts Council Wales to develop her compositional practice and explore themes around heritage and identity.

 

About Helen Woods

Helen is a composer and music animateur. She is a specialist in music for/with under fives but is experienced in working on a huge variety of music projects with all ages. Helen has composed 4 full length musicals, several song cycles, over a hundred children’s songs and composes the music for the Tiddly Prom, which she performs with storyteller Richard Berry.

Helen Woods has worked with the Memo Arts Centre for many years, bringing Tiddly Prom to the Memo for our under 5 audiences.

Through Time was performed at the Memo in January 2015, alongside workshops.
