This August, the Memo Arts Centre and Superstars in the Making present their sixth large-scale musical collaboration.

Following the successes of past projects, the creative team are thrilled to announce the cast for Oliver! The creative team have also partnered with the University of South wales to provide work experience placements for students.

Taking on the shared role of Oliver will be Logan Burrows and Ioan Adams. Ioan sings with the Welsh Musical Theatre Orchestra and Logan has starred in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Wales Millennium Centre. Logan has also performed in numerous Superstars in the Making productions and played the part of Pugsley Addams in last year’s co- production of The Addams Family.

John Walsh will play Fagin, who masterminds his group of street-urchin pickpockets, led by the Artful Dodger played by Zion Duvangel and Amelia Francis, who was a finalist in the Junior Eurovision UK 2018. Sophie Davies will play Nancy and Anthony Thomas, who was an undertaker in Barry for many years, will be playing Mr Sowerberry.

Oliver! The Musical will be directed and choreographed by international theatre director and choreographer, Christian Bullen. Christian is principal of Superstars in the Making (now in its 10th year) and teaches musical theatre at the world-famous Arts Educational Schools in London. He creates, directs and choreographs professional musical theatre in London, and travels across Asia offering masterclasses and training in musical theatre and performance.
