A love story like no other. The Cycle of Love is an inspiring, heart-warming and epic true-life adventure about self-belief, destiny and the courage to risk everything for love.

The Cycle of Love follows the extraordinary true story of PK, a 23-year-old street artist from Delhi who sets off with a handful of paint brushes and a second-hand bicycle on a 6,000-mile journey across Europe and Asia to find Lotta, the woman who captured his heart during her visit to India.

Convinced that their meeting was written in the stars, PK’s belief is reinforced by an astrologer’s prophecy that matches Lotta’s description. He takes a remarkable leap of faith, setting out on an epic journey from Delhi to Sweden in the hope of finding the woman he met only once.

Along the way, his journey becomes much more than a quest for love. It is a story of identity, transformation, self-belief and the courage to follow a feeling when everything else tells you not to.

With unprecedented access, the multiple Academy Award-winning filmmaking team behind Virunga and The White Helmets work closely with PK, Lotta and their families to bring this intimate, thrilling and life-affirming story to the big screen.

The Cycle of Love is part of Escapes, a nationwide initiative offering audiences the chance to step out of the everyday and into the magic of cinema – for free.

Supported by the BFI, awarding National Lottery funding, Escapes brings exciting independent films to cinemas across the UK, making cinema more accessible and giving audiences the opportunity to discover films they might not otherwise see on the big screen.

From new film previews and documentaries to exciting independent releases, Escapes is an invitation to switch off, escape and experience something new at your local cinema.
