This concert is part of Memo Mornings, our relaxed live music series held on the first Thursday of the month at 11:00am. These informal one-hour concerts feature small ensembles of some of the best young classical musicians, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a joyful mid-morning musical escape in Barry.
Celebrate all things French in this joyful and atmospheric morning concert, a year ahead of the Tour de France’s 2027 Grand Départ in Wales. Sinfonia Cymru’s vibrant trio of flute, cello and harp brings together elegance, colour and charm in a programme full of character and lyricism.
From the delicate beauty of Lili Boulanger’s Nocturne to the playful sparkle of Jean Françaix’s Trio for Flute, Cello and Harp, this concert captures the wit and refinement of French music. You’ll also hear the instantly recognisable and graceful “The Swan” from Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals – a timeless melody that never fails to enchant.
