Free film screenings for schools and youth groups to take place from 4-21 November.
For a school trip that’s exciting, fun – and free – look no further than the Into Film Festival 2014, the world’s largest film festival for children and young people.
The Memo Arts Centre will be showing the following free screenings:
Maktub – Tuesday 4 November, 10am
British Council Shorts for Primary – Wednesday 5 November, 10am
Much Ado About Nothing (12A) – Wednesday 12 November, 10am
Kumba (U) – Tuesday 18 November, 10am
Screenings will be held in more than 520 cinemas across all the major chains, and a range of venues across the UK from the ICA in London and the Millennium Centre in Wales to a remote location on the Isle of Skye.
In a survey of last year’s Festival, 92% of attending educators said they saw the broader educational benefits for their students and 71% said they were more likely to use film or cinema visits to support delivery of the curriculum.
This annual celebration of film and education is made possible by support from the BFI, Cinema First, a wide collaboration between the UK film industry partners and our Festival delivery partner, National Schools Partnership. The Into Film Festival 2014 will take place from 4-21 November. Visit www.intofilm.org/festival to book your place now.
