We are thrilled to be finally opening our doors for live events at the Memo Arts Centre.
In line with recent Welsh Government guidance, the Memo will proceed with our Autumn programme as scheduled.
With that in mind, we wanted to update audiences on how we are going to operate moving forward; the Memo Arts Centre will be adhering to procedures of risk assessments we have been asked to put in place by the Welsh Government following updated advice to help protect our audiences, visitors and staff.
Whilst some will operate at full capacity with no distancing, up to the limits set by the Welsh Government, the Memo have chosen not to operate at full capacity. We have agreed that to try to best maintain both seat choice and social distancing, we will implement a ‘One Seat’ spacing between separate ticket ‘bubble’ bookings.
The Memo team is currently working with limited staff resources. To reflect this, our Box Office and Administration office will be open Tuesday – Thursday, 10am – 3pm.
We will be responding to emails and calls between Monday and Friday, 10am – 3pm.
Other safety measures will also remain; collecting data for track and trace, the wearing of masks whilst entering and moving around the venue, hand sanitising stations around the building, enhanced venue cleaning and ventilation, pre-ordering of refreshments and card only payments.
We have been ‘See It Safely’ approved, the mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences. You can find out more here about these measures here.
To continue to be an accessible venue, we have ensured that our re-opening procedures and safety measures adhere to the Seven Inclusive Principles for Arts & Cultural Organisations ( Seven Inclusive Principles for Arts & Cultural Organisations working safely through COVID-19 (1).pdf ) as well being accessible for all Accessible Reopening Checklist published by Audience Access Alliance | Attitude is Everything
We’d like to thank you for holding your tickets with us for the last 17 months; there hasn’t been a live event in the Memo since 16th March 2020!
Whilst being super excited to welcome audiences back, we aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment and want you to feel confident with our safety measures.
