The Memo is extremely pleased and touched to announce that the Cenotaph is undergoing a major cleaning project in readiness for the Battle of Britain commemoration on Sunday 11th September, and the annual Remembrance Sunday Service on Sunday 13th November.
This vital work has been made possible by the goodwill and kindness offered through donations made by the family and friends of David “Eddie” Edwards, a beloved and well known stonemason following his tragic recent death.
Andrew Halls, retired owner of Halls Memorials who employed Eddie, remembered they had restored the Cenotaph in the past, and with Eddie’s family and friends have provided the Memo with their support to help us get the Cenotaph cleaned as a Tribute to Eddie.
The Memo wishes thank all who have helped make this work happen especially Eddie’s family and friends, Andrew Halls, Mathew Halls, Ashley Bull, Ran Tool Hire, QDL Contractors and all who have made a donation to the fund.
The Memo is very touched and extremely appreciative for your support – Thank you
