The Memo Arts Centre, working in partnership with Innovate Trust and Film Hub Wales, are launching an exciting new film club in October.
Cine-Venture will be offering its audience an opportunity to enjoy the latest blockbusters and specialised films, with a meeting session before and after the films to discuss, critic the films and enjoy a new social activity, supporting individuals with their carers to become independent cinema goers.
Our relaxed film screenings are specially designed to welcome people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory or communication disorders, learning disabilities or anyone who would benefit from a relaxed environment into the cinema.
Cine-Venture will feature 1-2 screenings a month, including blockbuster titles, all-time greats and specialised films. At our new CINE-VENTURE film screenings, we will be providing an arrival space with a club pre-film forum. Tickets for Cine-Venture film screenings are £5, inclusive of drink, popcorn and a special film note.
What makes the screenings relaxed?
Relaxed Screenings have a less formal, more supportive atmosphere in order to reduce anxiety levels. There is a relaxed attitude to audience noise and movement, and some small changes are made to the sound levels with reduced advertising material.
Forthcoming CINE-VENTURE screenings:
Nine Lives (PG) Wednesday 12 October @ 12:00, film to start screening from 12:30 approx.
The BFG (PG) Wednesday 26 October @ 12:00, film to start screening from 12:30 approx.
The Magnificent Seven (12A) Wednesday 2 November @ 12:00, film to start screening from 12:30 approx.
