Theatr Iolo a Pontio yn cyflwyno CHWARAE

Gan Elgan Rhys

Mae bachgen yn chwarae yng nghwmni’i fam. Eu gêm nhw yn unig ydy hon. Maen nhw’n ymgolli yn eu byd dychmygol a does dim byd arall yn bwysig. Ond yn sydyn, mae’r gêm yn newid…

Mae’r bachgen ar fin wynebu gêm fwyaf a phwysicaf ei fywyd. Ond does neb wedi egluro’r rheolau iddo, a dydy’i fam ddim o gwmpas bellach i’w roi ar ben ffordd. Ydy’r bachgen yn ddigon dewr i chwarae? Fydd o’n gallu dod o hyd i’r hyn mae o’n chwilio amdano? A beth fydd yn digwydd unwaith y bydd y gêm ar ben?

A hithau’n dilyn taith un bachgen wrth iddo gael ei hyrddio’n annisgwyl o un byd i’r llall, mae Chwarae yn sioe llawn rhyfeddod sy’n trafod pwysigrwydd a hwyl chwarae. I gyfeiliant cerddoriaeth fyw a digon o symud, bydd y cynhyrchiad Cymraeg hwn yn edrych ar sut y gall chwarae helpu plant i oresgyn heriau bywyd.

Bydd gofyn i’r gynulleidfa ymuno yn yr hwyl, gyda chyfle iddyn nhw chwarae hefyd!

Datblygwyd Chwarae ar y cyd â Pontio a theuluoedd yn y gogledd drwy raglen Platfform Theatr Iolo.

Theatr Iolo and Pontio present CHWARAE

By Elgan Rhys

A boy plays with his Mam. The game they play is just for them. They get lost in a make-believe world and nothing else matters. Then suddenly the game changes…

He’s about to embark on the biggest and more important game of his life. But no one has told him the rules and Mam is no longer around to show him the way. Is he brave enough to play? Can he find the answers he’s looking for? And what will happen once the game is over?

Following a young boy’s journey as he’s unexpectedly catapulted from one world to another, Chwarae is a wonderous exploration of the joy and importance of play. Featuring live music and movement, this Welsh Language production explores how play can help children to navigate the challenges that life throws them.

The audience will also be asked to join in the fun and be given their own opportunity to play!

Chwarae was developed collaboratively with Pontio and families from North Wales through Theatr Iolo’s Platfform programme.
